Thank you for making 2007 Fort Point Open Studios a success!
Thank you to all who came to this past weekend's 28th Annual Fort Point Open Studios. It's a big deal for us living here in Boston's oldest arts community, so I (among my fellow artist neigbhors) appreciated the large turnout we welcomed this year!
It was really wonderful to share my work with old friends, clients and new people. There was a great energy in the neighborhood during the week preceding Open Studios and thanks to our visitors, that energy continued.
*If you didn't make it, remember you can always plan a studio visit to look at work in person.*
I will announce the winner of my raffle by the end of this week! Lucky duck whoever it is...because they will be receiving a small painting by me for FREE. Free is always fun and good.
If you want to hear about future shows and new work, sign up for my newsletter (above). I will send occassional emails, so I promise you will not get an inbox of messages from me.
Thanks again...and until next year!
Warmly,
Filiz

NEW!!
Filiz interviewed for Boston Globe/Boston.com
<November
2006 >
Exciting
news! Back in February, I was interviewed by journalist
Scott LaPierre for the Boston Globe and Boston.com. Scott
was doing stories on 10 interesting people in Boston between
the ages of 20 & 30 with different careers and backgrounds.
I was lucky and honored to be one of people chosen. It was
finally launched today as a multimedia piece on Boston.com
as well as run in today's Sunday Globe (Nov 19.2006)
It
does feel a bit odd listening to it now as it was the first
time having someone document me painting and recording my
thoughts for two hours, but Scott LaPierre the journalist,
did a great job. Below is the link to the interview and
story--check out the stories on the other people as well!
