What is an original art print?

An original art print is an unique work of art. It is not a reproduction - digital or fine art print - of an existing work. It is completely original in its composition.

What is a silkscreen print?

A silkscreen print is made using a silkscreen frame - silk (or a fine mesh nylon) stretched over a wooden or aluminum frame. A design is created on the fiber surface, then ink is pressed through the negative space to create an ink impression (print) on the substrate (paper, fiber, wood) underneath. Prints are made one-by-one. Each impression requires the artist or printmaker to move ink across the surface using a tool called a squeegee, which creates a handmade unique print and quality. Therefore, each silkscreen print from the same screen will vary due to the handmade nature of the process.

What is a limited edition print?

A limited edition print is a series of prints made in a specific quantity that will not be repeated. In other words, it is limited, and once it is sold out, no more will be made.
